Increasing your overall productivity can lead to many wins throughout life

If you are looking to increase the overall productivity in your life, you might want to break it down to your daily habits.
I have found that it always come down to the little things in life that just add up over time, that make the biggest difference in where we end up in life. I mean think about it, where you are right now at this very moment in your life, you created. You got yourself to where you are today.
How did you do that?
It was all the little choices, decisions, and habits that accumulated over time and gave you an end result.
So, going back to achieving a more productive life, if you want to make a change and really maximize your day then you should start with your daily habits.
Here Are 10 Good Daily Habits To Have A More Productive Life
Improve Your Daily Routine
LeBron James is at the top of his game right now, and he is 18 years in. How does he continue to improve year after year? He credits it to his routine. The routine that he has in place, helps him to improve not just his basketball game, but more importantly, his mind and his body.
If you haven’t thought about sitting down and creating a daily routine for yourself, I really believe you should. I attribute a big part of my successes to my routine, and I believe you will say the same if you put a solid routine in place for yourself.
Creating a personalized routine, allows you to carve out time slots for things that can help you move forward. Something as simple as creating a block of time to exercise and clear your head. Creating time for yourself to help you increase your creativity and productivity is what it’s all about.
Audit Your Time 🕰
How you spend your time will determine so many things for your future. The more you value your time and take frequent inventory on it, the more productive you are going to be in your life.
We underestimate how much time we waste. Minutes become hours, and hours, become days. Those hours that are passing you by, while you are not doing what you could be or should be doing, is a waste of your time.
Audit your time and see where your time is going. If you have time that can be utilized to do something else and provide you greater productivity then you should consider making some adjustments. Because, time is going to pass you no matter what, might as well put your days to work for you.
Pick Up New Hobbies 🪴 🚴 📖 🔨
There are tons of hobbies out there that you can start, and they can actually increase your productivity by “killing 2 birds with one stone.”
Look at exercise for an example; it can be seen as a hobby instead of some chore that you need to do. By increasing your movement daily, you increase the chances of your longevity, experience a more clear mind to help you make important decisions and stay physically strong.
With one hobby strategically placed into your day, you are now moving 3X. And, that is just one!
Win The Morning ☀️
The morning is the beginning to your end. Each day that we have the opportunity to wake up and live our life is a blessing. If you can learn to conquer your mornings, you will increase the productivity in your life tremendously. You will see that the law of momentum takes over and more things just get done.
Use the morning time to wake up early and get the hardest part of your days completed before lunch time. This means, those few things that you need to get done daily, should all be done and said good bye to till the following day.
Don’t let your mornings pass you by. This is the time where your brain can accomplish so much at a very early point in your day, leaving you rolling down hill for the rest of your day.
Create Time To Learn More 📚
Increasing our knowledge, is in my opinion, the only way to improve. No matter how much drive and dedication you may have, if you don’t take time to learn and increase your knowledge, you won’t be able to reach full potential.
Take some time out of your day and use that time to increase your knowledge on a given subject that can help you achieve a more productive life. For example; taking some time to learn about finance everyday, can help you improve your own personal finances, which in turn, will help you reach real financial confidence over time.
Exercise Daily 🏃♀️
We already went over how this one hobby can help you, but let’s go a bit further. Personally, I have found that adding exercise to my life has improved my overall productivity. Exercise is not just about the physical aspect anymore. It is now about the overall productivity piece that keeps me engaged with this daily habit.
Consistent daily movement will translate into so many areas of your life, that you won’t want to let it go. It is not an easy task to complete by any means, but it is totally worth sticking with. This is one of those habits that you can squeeze into your morning routine and really own your morning.
Get Your Sleep 💤
I would bet that if you audited your sleep, you would find out that there is a lack of consistency. And if there is some consistency, it probably involves you staying up late. 🦉 Getting your sleep under control can really pay off big benefits throughout your day.
A great challenge for you to try; take audit of your past 7 nights of sleep. Write down what time you went to bed roughly, and how many hours of sleep you got each night. Now, challenge yourself to get 8-9 hours of sleep each night for the next 7 days consecutively. Each day take a few minutes to journal about how you have been feeling mentally and physically. Try it! 😉
Journal ✍️
I was listening to a successful business owner, and he was talking about how he attributes his achievements to his journaling habits. I was happy to hear that because, I agree. Journaling takes ideas from your brain out into the real world where you can now work with.
Journaling also helps you to stay on course. We have way too many distractions today. You would be surprised, just how quickly one can veer off course. Journaling daily, helps you to check-in with yourself. By checking in with yourself on a daily (especially the mornings), you can catch yourself veering off course rather quickly. As opposed to not journaling, one day can easily become six months of traveling in the wrong direction with very little resistance. Consistent journaling will prevent this from happening.
Have A ✅ List
I have found that if you have a sticky note pad and pen close by at all times, you can increase your productivity tremendously. Think back to that time you had a great idea, or something really important, but you never wrote it down. This only led to you losing it. Fast forward a bit, and you remember that important thing that never got done because it impacted you negatively somehow.
This is why, when I have more than one thing that needs to get done, I immediately grab my note pad and write it down in a checklist format. I place it where I can see it multiple times throughout my day. This acts as a reminder on its own. Seeing something on a list that needs to get done, just irritates something in my brain. It moves me towards needing to scratch it off and add a checkmark next to it. This leads to a small celebration and you move onto the next one.
I can assure you, you may hate doing the things you add to that list. However, there is great reward in completing things that need to get done. These small steps lead to positive change and a more productive life.
Plan The Night Before 🌙
I believe that productivity really begins to come to life when you start to plan for what you want to achieve the night before. Take some time to write down what you want to accomplish the day before, using the checklist method. In creating a to-do-list, you are now planning, organizing and working towards goals. Planning, gives you a starting point.
Use some quiet time each night to go over your successes for the day, as well as the areas that could use improvement. This planning, will increase your engagement and self-discipline over time. We all have the same amount of time that is available to us. Strategizing the day before, can help you maximize your 24 hours and lead to a more productive life.
