People Who Have Walked The Path That We Are On NOW, Have Left Behind Golden Nuggets That Can Help Us Achieve our version of success

Over the course of years, I have read quite a few books. A large proportion of those books have been geared towards studying successful people. It has always been something that has been of interest to me, since I was a young kid. I enjoyed reading about how successful people handled themselves and their families over the course of their lives, and all of the habits and wisdom that they have displayed along the way.
Now, when I use the word “successful”—to me, it means achieving all of the goals and dreams that one sets for themselves. With my own definition of what success is, you can see that success is objective. Success for me can mean one thing, and for you, it can mean something entirely different.
Society has painted success to be the fast life of high status positions, fame, money, mansions and cars. For those that agree with me, this is not what success is about. True success is about setting strong morals, ethics and values for your life, and then using that foundation to go and achieve your dreams. Success is about growing towards making yourself better and those around you better.
From what I have learned, there are crumbs, trails, golden nuggets of information that successful people leave behind through their leadership. We just need to be willing to go out and look for it. Once we find them, it is up to us to apply those principles into our own lives and allow time to mold us into the person we need to become in order to achieve success.
Here Are 10 Habits Of Highly Successful People That You Can Adopt Today:
1. Organization
Becoming an organized person is a daily practice and a daily struggle. Especially, if you have children. But, organization is one habit that successful people preach about. They stand by it. Maintaining an organized home and workspace is important if you want to succeed at the highest level. Organization requires a high level of discipline and consistency. If you lack in these 2 characteristics, you will struggle with this successful habit. Even if you do struggle, keep at it.
Look for opportunities within your own personal life and create a plan for yourself, so that you can improve those organization pieces. Maybe you are a student, and you could use some cleaning up in your dorm room. Or you could use some time to organize your files and school work. Maybe you work in an office and your office drawers are stuffed with things that you don’t need. By improving your work space and home life, you can perform at a more optimal level. This is why becoming a more organized person can really add value to your life.
2. Relaxation
Burnout is a real thing. Most people do not take the time to analyze that too much of something can really drive you away from it. The most successful people in the world take time to relax and do things that can make them better as they relax. They spend even their leisure time wisely.
We need to give ourselves the proper breaks within our day to be able to recharge and go back at it again. If we just clock into our jobs fully loaded on the focus to hammer out work for 8 or 9 hours straight, you will not only drive yourself nuts, but everyone around you will go nuts too. Take time to decompress, disconnect, recharge, relax, recalibrate, and then get back to your primary focus.
3. Take Action
When it comes to success, or anything for that matter, you will never see results if you do not take action. You will never see the full true potential of what you are capable of achieving if you never take action on those big decisions that are looming in your mind. Big ideas, require big decisions. In order to make those big decisions you must take action towards the things you desire in life.
Some people want to start a business, some people want to get through school, some want to become better individuals, some people want to become billionaires, and some people want to start a family. The truth is that all of those ambitions are amazing goals to chase after. There is just one thing that stands in your way—action!
There is another key piece of wisdom that I have picked up over the years and that is that, action by itself gives you nothing. It is only when you couple action with consistency, that you really get real results. You can have the greatest idea, and you can go ahead and apply action once or twice, but that will deliver nothing. It is only when you incorporate consistent daily action over time, that you begin to see the results. So take action, but make sure it is consistent and hold that consistency over time.
4. Health Care
Health, Wealth, Love And Happiness—the four things that most people are constantly chasing within their personal lives. Some people search for one or two, and then you have others who look for the whole pie.
The true successful people in our world have all of them. This is what makes them successful.
Without your health, what good are the other three?
You can have wealth, love and happiness in your life, but if you do not make your health a priority, then you could miss out on the overall experiences. You can’t truly enjoy the fruits of your labor without health. If you truly want to reach your dreams and your goals, you are going to want to pay close attention to your health. The end game should include arriving to your destination being in the best shape of your life. Not just physically but mentally and spiritually too.
Take 30-60 minutes out of your day and use that time to focus on your health. Use that time to focus on planning and preparing your meals for the day, and get some movement into your day so you can break a nice sweat. You don’t need to go jump from one extreme to the next on this one. Just start slow, and incorporate some walking each day to help get you started. It is always smart to consult with your primary professional and get some structure around your health goals before taking action.
5. Positive Attitude
If you want to get anywhere in life, you need to have an open and a positive mindset. This is where I can truly relate. I have always had visions in my mind. I can see them vividly, and I am all about taking consistent action on the things that I feel are worth it. That requires a positive attitude, believing that what I set my mind out to do, I can accomplish. Many people in your life journey are either not going to keep up with you, or they not believe it in the possibilities. This is where your positivity must shine through for your own sake and push you to keep moving forward.
If you want to reach success, your definition could be far more complex than those around you. You may receive criticism for what it is that you want to achieve. Maybe the ideas do not align with others, or they simply don’t think it can work. If you do not have enough self belief within yourself, where you feel that regardless of circumstances you are willing to go out and try, you will pass up on great opportunities.
The reason we pass up great opportunities is because of a negative mindset. We go into something looking for all of the worst possible scenarios, instead of believing that something positive can stem from it. Maybe you try, and you fail, but something positive always comes out of those moments. It is all about having a positive attitude towards life and your potential in order to pull that positivity out of everything you do and experience.
6. Networking
Successful people know how to network and they can grow communities and relationships. It is because of the relationships that they have built over time, that a lot of them have reached the levels of success that they have. Getting to know new people and working with new people who are outside of your field provides great value. That value can help you grow towards your dreams and aspirations. In addition, you can add value back to them, helping them grow their professional and personal goals as well.
Attending functions and events that are geared towards networking within your area is a great place to start if you are looking to increase your professional contacts. There is a saying that people throw around often when it comes to professional success: “It’s all about who you know“.
If we spend more time strengthening relationships and growing relationships, we could increase our chances of landing more opportunities. On the flip side, you can share your value and add what you know to help better those around you.
7. Frugality
Turns out people who have started from the bottom and have worked themselves up have not only been hard working, but also very wise with their money. We trade our time for money. Therefore the money that we receive becomes valuable to us. If we are not wise with our spending habits, we put our finances in jeopardy. And of course this varies from person to person.
This piece of advice is for those who are still beginning, or haven’t started to mold their financial future just yet. The time will come where you need to make financial decisions, and those same financial decisions will hold great weight when it comes to your future and where you set yourself up to be 5-10 years from present day.
Being frugal with your money is not just about saving it, it is also about not wasting it on things that you simply don’t need. I may want certain things, but that does not mean that I need those things. If we were to spend all of our hard earned money on things that we want, instead of the things that we need, we’d end up wasting an enormous amount of money. This will only slow down your progress and possibly even throw you backwards. Be wise with your money and seek real authorities in the financial space to learn from.
8. Rising Early
This is a common habit amongst many successful people that I have read about. I truly believe this is not a one size fits all approach. I think more people need to realize this. However, there are reasons as to why this habit is a common one.
One particular benefit that this habit introduces, is an increase in hours available to your day. If you are looking to increase productivity and prime your mind before most people are even awake, this is one you can give a try. One could argue, that they can stay up late and sleep in late. While this may work for some, there is a greater percentage of people who could benefit from an earlier morning approach.
In addition to increasing your available time, rising early can help you prepare your mind properly for the day, before your day has even started. You have the ability to wake up, drink some coffee, exercise, eat breakfast, journal, read, shower, meditate, get dressed and possibly even get some work done in silence before most people are awake. All of this can be accomplished by rising earlier.
Is it fun to wake up early? For most, it’s not. And while you may think that waking up earlier is just going to make you more tired throughout your day, I can say with confidence that this is not true. On the contrary, I have experienced a more clear, productive, mental and physical energy on mornings that I have accomplished my morning routine and habits, than when I don’t and decide to “sleep in.”
9. Reading
With all the tech that is readily available to us today, people still find time to read. Which is awesome. Part of the reason as to why my husband and I wanted to start this blog was to help promote more reading. Not only do you get to read more thanks to our content, but we do more reading as well.
Reading is a great practice that we have incorporated in our home. We try to read each day and keep that discipline over the course of our lives. I believe it to be a great daily practice and a great way to pass time. Reading unlocks our minds to new heights, we use our imaginations more, and we learn from the content that we read. Reading helps to unlock new ideas, and it is a great way to overcome stressful moments. Simply, by taking a break from reality and diving into a few pages of a good book, you can take your mind to another world.
If you are going to pick up the habit of reading, don’t miss out on the most read book in the world… I’ll let you figure it out.
10. Believing In Help & Sharing Information
Turns out successful people believe in help. They are humble enough to put their knowledge to the side and listen to others. They are open to learning from others, no matter how much success they achieve in their lifetime. The most successful people in the world are avid learners. They seek the opportunities to learn more and grow more as each day passes them by.
Successful people believe in sharing information with others. True success is not about you making it to your dreams, it is about you taking those around you with you to your dreams. I believe that if you have knowledge that can help someone else reach their goals and their dreams, that same knowledge should be shared with the people closest to you.
When you study successful people, you will find that the people that are genuinely looking to help other people are often the ones who are successful. Successful people find problems and they look for solutions, it is a habit that they formed early on in their journey. Finding people who need help and then helping them, is what true success is all about.
