You Might Be DOING A-LOT BETTER IN LIFE THAN YOU THINK

I was taking an early morning walk and I began thinking to myself how blessed I am.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to wake up next to the people I love most. And, I have the opportunity to enjoy my health. My health allows for me to push new limits each day.
Then I began to realize, that these simple things get taken for granted each day.
We have so many beautiful things in our life that really demonstrate how well we are really doing in life.
If you just equate money, cars, vacations, homes and other material things as symbols to show yourself that you are doing well in life, you miss out on the important things in our lives that are the true dictators of how well we are doing in life.
Here Are 10 Signs You Are Doing Well In Life:
1. You’re Breathing
Have you ever been in a moment where you wish you could just capture it and re-live it?
It’s thanks to the fact that you are breathing and doing well that we can experience moments like those.
This is the ultimate blessing. You get to wake up and fight another day. If you are reading this, you are breathing and alive and hopefully doing well.
Take more time out of your day to reflect on the fact that you are alive and you are healthy.
Create more awareness around the fact that you woke up with a healthy, functioning body, that you can utilize to spend more time around the things that you love most.
It may sound obvious, but this is something we take for granted each day.
2. You Ate Today
Poverty is the leading cause of undernourishment.
According to DoSomething.org 11.3% of the world population go to bed hungry each night.
That is a whole lot of people that do not have the opportunity to nourish themselves the way those who do have that blessing of abundance in food can.
Sometimes our lives become consumed by all of the activity that we have going on, that we forget to stop and give thanks for a simple meal.
The purpose here, is to shed light on how blessed we truly are to be able to enjoy a meal that can nourish our bodies, helping us grow and recover.
If you had the opportunity to prepare your own food, purchase your own food and you sat down and enjoyed your meal—you are doing a lot better than most.
3. You Have A Roof Over Your Head To Come Home To Each Night
My wife and I alternate putting the girls to bed each night. We find that although they are already at an age where they can sleep on their own, it is a great window of time to be able to talk about life, read them books, and pray with them each night.
Kids do not have the understanding of just how blessed they are when it comes to what they have in material.
To them it is just a part of life. It just comes with the package right?
“Well dad, of course we have a house, where are we supposed to live, under a tree?”
The truth is, that yes, there are people out there living under trees, living under bridges, living in tents and much worse.
See, the point isn’t about how they got there, the point is that there are people experiencing hardships that we could never imagine going through.
The fact that we have a roof over our head to come home to each night and sleep securely as a family, is something that so many people out there who don’t have the same, would kill for.
4. You Have A Good Heart
We live in a large populated world. You are going to run into a lot of different people within your lifetime. The ability to wake up each day and put good out into the world is something beautiful.
There are way more people out in the world today, that need help. There is no reason why we cannot extend a helping hand to our neighbors and our loved ones.
A person with a beautiful heart injects love into the world simply by being present in who they are.
I am blessed to witness this everyday with my wife and my children. They are my direct representation of what a good hearted person consists of.
Use the power that lies within you to make the world better.
Knowing that you have a good heart and you align your actions with that good heart, should mean everything to you.
If you have a good heart and you are willing to help other people in need, then you are: 1) blessed beyond words and 2) one of those people that make this world a better place.
Thank you 🙏
5. You Wish Good For Others
I believe that no matter who you are, and where you are going, we should always be happy for other people and we should always wish good for other people.
Too many facets of our lives are showing us that it is acceptable to harm other people or wish bad upon other people so long as they deserve it.
Don’t fall victim to that soul destroying trap.
We were all created with a genius that provides us the ability to make this world a better place.
We each hold a power within us. Some people choose to discover it and develop it, while other people are completely blind to the fact that they are powerful beyond measure.
Wish good for other people, be happy when those around you succeed, and use each opportunity as a learning experience to improve your own personal life and your family’s.
6. You Have Clean Water
Your body uses water within all of its cells, organs, and tissues in order to regulate itself and maintain other vital bodily functions.
When you stop to think that the adult human body is composed of 60% water, you really get to see just how important water is to our existence, and yet there are people out there who do not have clean access to water.
At the time of writing this, more than 801,000 children younger than the age of 5 perish from gut related issues that stem from unsanitary drinking water.
According to the CDC, “Unsafe drinking water, inadequate availability of water for hygiene, and lack of access to sanitation together contribute to about 88% of deaths from diarrheal diseases.
If you have access to clean water, you are doing well in life.
The opportunity we get each day to wash our bodies, brush our teeth, drink clean water, wash our foods, and nourish our bodies, is a blessing that we can easily take for granted if we don’t slow down enough to give thanks.
7. Someone Cares For You
I get to wake up each morning to a beautiful family that I give thanks to God for multiple times a day. The fact that someone else out there truly cares about me, and my family’s well-being, is something that cannot go unnoticed.
If you wake up each day and you have someone in your life that cares for you, you are loved.
In such a big world, with so many people, it can get lonely out there pretty quickly. Especially, if at the end of the day, you do not have someone who cares for your health, wealth and happiness.
Who ever that person is in your life or group of people are, cherish them. Appreciate them, and give thanks for them. For you are loved.
8. You Strive To Be Better
Just writing about this one right here gets me fired up 🔥.
Life in my opinion is a game. Not in the sense of where it is a joke, no. I mean it requires strategy in order to win.
A game, in the sense that there is a starting point, there are levels, there are moments of failure and do-overs, there are bosses and levels you need to beat in order to be ready for the next challenge. Lastly, you either beat the game, or the game beats you.
How do you beat the game?
By dedicating time to it, learning more about it, applying the techniques and tools you pick up along the way and then most importantly — you don’t quit.
If you are waking up each day and looking for opportunities to get better, to improve, then you are super blessed.
You have a dream, you have a vision of something and you are well aware that in order to achieve those dreams that God instilled within you, you need to improve yourself. You need to level up.
Give thanks that you wake up each and everyday with an uncanny ability to keep moving forward, keep learning and keep striving to become the best version of yourself.
9. You Have Clean Clothes
I am not a big clothes person. In fact, I pretty much wear the same clothes over and over again, not really caring what others have to say or think.
I am just grateful that I have clothes that I can wear and that are clean.
If you think about it, every morning we wake up and at some point, we change into clean clothes.
We start each day with a fresh set of clean clothes. We go to our jobs with clean clothes, we go to the stores with clean clothes, we go to the gym with clean clothes (hopefully 😂) and we even go to sleep in clean clothes.
When you stop to think that there are people out there who do not have the opportunity to wear clean clothes, you really get a glimpse of how well you are really doing in life.
10. You Have A Dream
If you can see something that is far greater than yourself within your mind, you have a dream.
I believe we all are born into this world with a dream and a purpose.
According to major psychologists, we identify with our purpose at a very early age. Problem is, not everyone fosters it, cultivates it and most importantly, believes in it enough to see it come to life.
If you spend your days thinking about something greater that has to exist out there, an astronomical standard that you have set for yourself, a standard that you know you will never reach, but you are willing to try anyways— you have a dream. You still see it.
The fact that you still see it, believe it and identify with it, means you posses something a lot of people don’t have, or simply won’t follow it.
Having a dream, is like setting your sights on something that is going to take you decades to build and achieve, but you believe that within yourself, you have what it takes to make that dream a reality and you feel that it is your responsibility to develop that.
Because you have this dream and are able to visualize it, you are doing well in life.
Final Thoughts 💭
If you don’t slow your life down, you are going to miss out on the things that at the end of the day, truly matter.
We have so much noise coming in through social media and the influence that is coming through our tv’s, radios, streaming services, that our children can get swept right off course if we are not paying attention.
Focus more on the things that you have in your life, that truly make you fulfilled and happy. Give thanks more frequently for all of the little things in your life that are blessings and miracles within themselves.
