At some point in life, we need to take ownership of our own mind and the thoughts that are being produced.
It’s like we have an internal programming that has been set in place since we were young, and at some point we forget that eventually old programming too, needs to be replaced.
But how exactly do we rewire our minds and rid ourselves of self-limiting thoughts and beliefs and open to a more positive perspective?
I believe it is accumulation of different things. There are numerous factors that when combined, give your mind a boost into a more positive direction.
Here Are 8 Ways To Rewire Your Brain In A Positive Fashion:
1. Eat Nutritious Food
The more you can read and educate yourself on the subject of nutrition and micro nutrients, the better equipped you will be to making proper food choices.
Not to say that you can’t indulge from time-to-time, and eat delicious junk food. You just want to be making wiser choices at least 70% of the time.
Eating whole foods can provide you with a more stable energy throughout the day, which in turn can keep you moving and getting things done.
When we eat foods that do not contribute to our energy expenditure, we find ourselves underperforming or not performing at all.
This is why selecting clean sources of energy from variable food sources is vital for a positive mind.
2. Take Notes. Write Down Ideas.
A great way to capture your genius is to take notes throughout your day.
A lot of people don’t have the self-discipline in place to keep this one going as a long term habit, but if you practice it daily, you can.
Keep a notepad with a pen close by you all times throughout your day. If you can’t, or don’t see this possible, utilize your notes application on your phone.
Certainly, there will be points throughout your day where you hear, think or see something of value for you to write down and pick apart later.
Having a quick way to take down notes or ideas is a great way to spark creativity and learn new things.
3. Prove Yourself Wrong
There are not enough people out there today who are encouraging for you to set challenges for yourself.
You might be thinking, “why would I want to put challenges infront of myself?”
There are already so many challenges that we have to deal with on a daily basis as it is already, why would we want to set more?
To build more growth.
We need to encourage growth in our own lives. We must take ownership of our growth, and put ourselves into situations that will push us to change for the better.
True growth sprouts from challenge.
Set yourself a challenge every so often, prove to yourself that you can achieve difficult things.
4. Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Our comfort is our quick sand, but we don’t even know it. Most people embrace the word comfort and they have conditioned themselves to protect their comfort.
The more comfortable you can make yourself, the better— right?
HELL NO!
Enjoying your comfort when the appropriate time arises is one thing, but trying to stay comfortable overall is an internal death sentence.
We humans thrive on challenge, overcoming difficulty, and reaching ultimate success.
You are not going to over come challenges, reach success, or accomplish anything worth-while staying in your comfort zone.
We must put ourselves into difficult situations and challenge ourselves frequently in order to grow and see our greatest potentials come to life.
You must push those boundaries to test who you really are and what you really want. Then and only then, will you truly discover if what you are chasing is right for you.
5. Do Something Different Repeatedly
This one takes real practice around patience, self discovery, discipline, and of course consistency.
But we need to understand that we are the master creators of our own universe.
We own our own lab (life) and we get to create many beautiful things within that lab.
To put that into perspective, lets take an example:
You want to lose 30 pounds.
Your goal is to lose the weight, but you first need to learn how.
Then once you learn how, you need to apply what you have learned and experiment with the approach and monitor the scale and other methods of tracking.
If the results are not the results you desired after 7-10 days, you make adjustments and then execute again repeatedly for another 7-10 days, and you repeat until your results align with your goals.
This same principle of doing something different repeatedly is how you are going to learn more about yourself and learn more about what works and what doesn’t.
6. Hold Yourself 100 % Accountable
There is a quote that says: “How you do anything, is how you do everything.”
If you think that everything that happens in your life is simply because “it is mean to be”, you will encounter a-lot of unnecessary headaches in life.
If you adopt the mindset that in life, everything is your fault, then you begin to yield different results.
If you are in a bad situation within your life, you got yourself there. Therefore, you need to get yourself out.
You must learn to fight for yourself and for the things that you demand out of your life.
Take ownership of your life, your decisions, your position, and your future.
You and ONLY you control all of that.
7. Keep Good Company
We are the by product of the 5 people we spend our time with.
When you stop to think about that, you begin to see just how much of an impact the people you choose to surround yourself with can have on you.
Life is already too complicated and complex to be allowing bad energy to enter your life.
Be selective of the people that you surround yourself with.
If the people that you are surrounding yourself with are not making you better, then you should reconsider the company that you keep.
8. Get Enough Rest Each Day
We work a lot each day. We don’t get recognized for it, because nobody really sees your day-to-day life and all the hard work you put in.
But, you do.
If you are out there working hard on yourself and chasing all of the amazing things that are of value to you in life, props to you!
As much as I love hard work and the pursuit, I would be a fool to overlook rest and recovery.
Rest and recovery is what creates the ability for us to wake up each day and get after what we were doing the previous day, except with more vigor and intensity.
Learn to take proper rest and recovery seriously.
Seek 7-9 hours of consistent hours of sleep each night.
Get outdoors each day for a minimum of 30 minutes under the sun.
Drink plenty of water throughout each day to ensure proper hydration.
Conclusion
Happiness and positivity is experienced when we are progressing. It doesn’t matter in which area of life that is, but as long as the human mind is aware that progression is taking place, we experience happiness.
Happiness leads to a more positive mindset.
If you truly want to rewire your mind to be able to see a more positive light, these things will help.
However, ultimately, what you want to be doing is implementing your passions into your daily routine and then seeking progression within those respected fields.
Over time, you will see real true growth that will stick with you for the rest of your life.
